Barack Hussein Obama is the downfall of the United States of America.  That what they say.  That is why the GOP haunts the House.  But their justification for this is so clear and simple I felt I should share what I call the more correct views of the Loyal Opposition

1.  Wrong name.  Gall, nerve and audacity my ass.  That is
an UnAmerican name.

2.  Hawaii?  Maybe – but some reps have never even been to Hawaii
Elitist place to born.

3.  The Color.  Time to say it strong and say it proud.  He and his entire
Negro family are living in our President’s home.  Even the damn dog is not
only black but some kind of Kennedy gift.

4.  Harvard.  Get real.  Only welfare children and foreigners go to
Harvard now.  He is probably both. This is an elitist feel good charity college.

5. Law Review?  Never even heard of it.

6. Smoked the rope and inhaled the dope.  A typical n-word hobby.  Inner city-
that is straight outta Compton.  The GOP does not roll in Compton.

7.  Healthcare reform.  So now we are grouped into the same category as places like Argentina, Brazil Canada Chile, Costa Rica, Cuba, Mexico Panama, Peru Uruguay, Trinidad and Tobago and Venezuela , Greenland AND  Austria, Andorra, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal,[61] Romania, Russia, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine[62], Belarus[63], Moldova[64], the United Kingdom.[65] . and Ireland.  Also Israel and that figures doesn’t it.  If you get sick in the US it is NOT our problem.  If you die broke.  We do not care.  If you have a baby and do not want it – leave it by the side of road.  You should not have opened your legs.

8.  Diplomatic dinners.  Not on our dime – go to Shakee’s or Henry’s Soul Cafe.  They are both in areas where you will not stand out.

9.  Trips.  Quite the globe trotter unlike previous presidents from our party.  Get real MISTER Obama – no country with values really wants people like you in their midst.  Read some real history and believe it.

10.  Queen Elizabeth.  The Queen is never to be touched.  Your wife had the kind of nerve reserved for Royal Families.  You do not know your place.

11. THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE.  Alfred Nobel invented dynamite.  Those folks in Norway should have blowed you up real good.  The committee that awards that stupid prize is clearly paid off by someone in the  commie shadows.  They keep giving it to Other Side Presidents.  That will change.

12.  Rahm Emanuel.  The Jew.  George Lincoln Rockwell – the assassinated founder of the American Nazi Party said it right when he created the term “N****r Jew Jazz” to describe that funky music.  Rahm Emmanuel had no business telling  anyone what to do.  He clearly did not know his place either.  You people take much more than we want you to have.  That will end soon.

13.  Basketball.  Next you will try to bring back the Negro League.

These are but a few of the egregious wrongs Mr. Obama has done to OUR country and now we will see just who buys their suits at Hart Shaffner and Marx, who sends their kids to private school and whose seditty (yes she is) wife AND mother-in-law shop at J.Crew.

Additions to these wrong acts and the harm to OUR country may be posted in the comments section.  If anyone from their side reads this – share it.  In fact share it with anyone you like.  Unlike much of  GOP info  it has been fact checked for facts when getting caught in a lie would require additional lies and money to fix.  We intend to bring in American values, Christian prayer and if we do not do another thing in the next two years, a new name for Jim Crow that we can pass as an earmark and then enforce.

BP has this to consider:  The Planet Earth.

Marine life – mammals, fish, and birds destroyed, habitats gone, fishing industry destroyed. Economy plummets. Pollutants become part of the weather cycle. Rain despoiled. Humans suffer effects. Illness rises. People die .  Hospitals overwhelmed.

Tourism devastated. Economy plummets. Jobs of every kind, eliminated due to lack of  disappeared funds and  factors undetermined. Seawater tainted for ages and ages unknown ages.  Beaches ruined. Travel suffers. Economy plummets. Worldwide.

Food chain altered for foreseeable future. Fish vanish from diets. Fish based foreign economies die due to lack of trade. Eventual extinction of water breathing and other aquatic creatures. Marshlands, mangroves, small islands face ruin or worse.  Decaying aquatic life introduces bacteria and other elements into food chain and water supply with unpredictable effect.  Deep currents pick up oil and allow it to flow worldwide. Into deep sea beds, coral reefs and places we cannot even predict.

Be angry. Be very angry. Be angry at offshore drilling which had this scenario written large in it since the first drill hit the sea bed. Be angry at governments who place petroleum profits and hunger before the health of this one small planet.  Be angry there is nowhere to go to escape this. Think about the ice and what will happen when it is part oil and part water. Think about penguins, polar bears, seals and otters. Realize that BP (or any other drilling op) NEVER had a plan B . Never had a real fix. Did not care.

When you are pointing fingers, blame ALL the countries who supported this – including our own.  Don’t pin it on the individual heads of state who are here now and came when it began . They were not alone.  Politicians still exist for whom the words “drill baby drill”  resonates with gusto.  But we started drilling a long time ago.  It was always risky.  What the hell.  Take the risks and worry about the results later.  In fact don’t worry – there’s oil in them thar’ waters.  Black gold.  Texas tea.
When did we actually start to believe we could do whatever we wanted on this planet and not  have to pay one day.  I think 36 days ago the note came due.  Now what?  Now what?  Now?  What?

When I see the Obama Family on TV or see President Obama I  usually smile.  Almost every time.  Because I simply cannot believe I lived to see this nice looking brown-skinned family in the White House.  It makes me feel clean somehow  – as if our country has considered the  good of the people and the nation and gone for a youngish, smart and hard-working chief of state .  I don’t think I’m alone in this  either and I hope not because he needs time and support to unglue the mess we’re in and make things better.  After an eight year ordeal with Mr. Bush – you’d think the GOP and its many sects of adherents would get behind him, tell their own people to support him and start to go forward in these difficult times.  (Drum roll – enter Steve Martin) But nooooooooooo.  And not just noooooooo, Nasty no!  Vicious no!  Name calling no!

No respect for the man at all, but that also means no respect for the office.  Every speech, meeting, movement , gesture is derided and dismissed instantly as a sign of what?   Oh, wait. “He’s a communist, he’s a socialist, he’s an unnatural citizen, he wants to steal from the rich and share the wealth with the rest. He thinks Americans – across the board, should have health care.  His very name is a traitorous betrayal – Barack Hussein Obama, Jr.  Now that’s not right.  He must be a Muslim and since he’s named after his black African father – he must have been born there too. He  has absolutely no use for the Jews and he hates whites in secret.  His wife’s arms are too bare and she is far too fit;  she is too tall, how dare she wear nice outfits,  and to top it off they have the same kind of dog that Ted Kennedy had.  That really is  over the top.  How dare he, she, they and the dog”.

I have a name for these people; these disruptive, Constitution chewing, greedy, mad tea partying GOP members.  I call them White Sheet Republicans.  I do not believe a single one even listens to the policies of or direction this president wants to take us.  I don’t believe they would even reject of it if it were suggested by a moderate GOP member.  They might mumble and growl and not agree with parts  – but I suggest the name calling would be minimal.  We must keep in mind that, under their protective covers they will do whatever it takes to keep their ball rolling backward.  They are extremely sore losers.   They believe  Sarah, Glenn and Rush are truth-telling, extreme intellectuals.  They gloat over lies that are told to discredit the current administration.  I would  suggest – that beneath their 800 thread count uniforms they make even make faces.  This is a group of vicious, nasty people.  People I would not break bread with.

But why “White Sheet Republicans“?  Are they ashamed of their party? Their platform?  Naaaah.  It’s because of what slips out far too often.  Because they feel the need to preface almost every nasty crack with, “don’t get me wrong, it’s not because he’s black” and because we absolutely know that it is very much because he’s black. And the proffered apologies are sung to the tune of Dixie.  Is it because he is not a son of the Stolen, descended from slaves.  None of these people’s people even stole his forebears – he has symbolically not sat in the back of the bus. So,  as much as he is rightfully embraced by most African-Americans – he really does present a unique and estimable president who speaks to all of us.
Under the sheets, however, this doesn’t even register.  “”Bananas, chimpanzees, zoos, thick lips, nappy hair, doesn’t act or sound black “. (I suppose a disappointment to many in Dixie)  all creep out from under their hems. Of course it’s because he’s black.  God knows what a White Sheet GOP kaukus sounds like.

Somewhere these White Sheet Republicans assumed  (probably before the Civil War) they would never have to worry about some Darkie running for president.   Both the old and new money, the right schools, the stiffest upper lip, the right address would keep that from ever happening.  Damn it, the Founding Fathers owned stolen black folks and there isn’t anything in the Constitution that says a slave can be president.  They are chattel. And so even the ones way down South living in the kudzu believe it too.  They may have tolerated Affirmative Action, but that tolerance did not include any action that could allow you to be President of the United States.  So when you read the vitriol and angry, personalized attacks on Mr. Obama – picture those White Sheet Republicans spinning out of control watching  Birth of A Nation, Bamboozled and all taking notes.  And be very concerned about all of them because they are definitely out of control.

Taking stock of Stockholm and Copenhagen in the last week has led me to some conclusions that may not sound very patriotic, but honesty should not be usurped by mislaid love of country.  You can love your country without loving some of what is done in its name.   The same goes for your neighbor.

Copenhagen.  In order to speed greed you have to be able to use every tool you have to get there.  Greed is a global goal.  Or the spoils of greed.  And why not – I think we have reached a tipping point (thank you MG) where all the fingers in all the dikes are not going to make enough of an impact to save much of anything.  Sounds hopeless but it may be more truth than anyone can bear to utter.  I was green in the 70’s – what fun being laughed out of conversations about destroying the planet and the small steps that could be taken to slow this down. And if that wasn’t annoying enough – being green was expensive (as it is now) and impeded by the newest in living better through chemistry.  No one cared about Three Mile Island or Union Carbide or the Woburn Cancer Cluster.  A few (hundred thousand) souls were a small sacrifice for Big Biz to absorb in the pursuit of money. Collateral damage without even a war. That was 40 years ago.

We have made huge strides in our pursuit of the Money and the Brand.  As Pogo said “We have met the enemy and he is us”.  He is.  No one wants to lower emissions by charter.  If they sign up then they have to be responsible and we cannot have that and corporate sovereignty.    Copenhagen was not quite what we had in mind.  So while the planet slimes and slurps and melts and freezes and generally goes the way of a Styrofoam cup – there is good news too – we have found water on the Moon.  Get ready to play the collectible, limited edition of Lunar Monopoly.

Stockholm.  White tie is never unpleasant to see.  And President Obama looked wonderful and a little confused in his as he accepted the Nobel Prize.

But the point is this: Any president in 2009 has inherited 8 years of a war without a point. Obama is doing what Sadam-obsessed W should have continued to do when he deployed Oct 7 2001. Instead he drained our country of soldier’s blood to get an imaginary enemy. We are now back to square one/Oct 7 2001 when the target was Al Qaeda in Afghani/Pakistan. He is merely doing – and not something I like either – what W should have done and won

I am not sure Mr. Obama should have won the Nobel Peace Prize.  I doubt he thinks so either. And as he sends troops into no-win Afghanistan it is an even harder accolade to accept or deserve. Ah well. Unfortunately they do not yet have a Nobel War Prize.  Or a Nobel Door Prize.

Donkey

Ass
What the heck

We don’t have Rush
And we don’t have Beck
We never had Cheney
And we didn’t like Bush

Take ’em all to a cliff
And then holler
Push

They hate Obama
They loathe Al Gore
They’re mad hell
And what’s more

They’d rather see you sick
or worse,
while they tighten
the drawstrings
on their purse

Carry their guns
Spread some lies
While we keep
winning the Nobel Prize.

Angry, nasty, always railin’
I think they caught something
from Sarah Palin.

Obama, Health Care Reform and the Non-47 Million August 23, 2009

Obama is my president.  He was my choice as a candidate and I am happy he is in the White House.  I am sick of the minute by minute negative commentary on his progress in 8 months as the president.  But what is even more alarming is the dedicated and vocal GOP opposition that appears to think telling lies is far more important  than the running of this country and the welfare of all  its citizens.  Suddenly we find ourselves rolled over by the calculated lies and misinformation being spewed by the GOP and their right of normal adherents.  During the horrifying eight years of George W. Bush and his evil twin Dick Cheney, no one made a peep.  Democrats tried but they were denied voice by Homeland Security rules; rendition, being a traitor, selling out this country, doubting (doubting was as bad as traiting) and daring to accuse the GOP of exactly what it was doing and what could and has been proven.  The incumbents of that era grew very fat and happy.  They became drunk with the sense of entitlement and power they could wield like a club and like it or not we put up with it.  Now that they are not in charge, they have returned to what they do best – obfuscation of truth.  Their champions are Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh, Anne Coulter and Glenn Beck.  Pop culture demagogues of questionable character who present as absolute truth , lies they want to spread.  Their platform – the over the top strict construction of the Constitution and out of context “intelligence” that isn’t anything but crap.

Does it irk people that Mr. Obama (and family) are the very thing they fear?  Not just his racial background, but his education, attitude and willingness to hash out policy by going directly to the people.    Is he doing a great job – not every time – but he isn’t being allowed much latitude in his actions.  Hysterical citizens at Town Hall meetings ready to riot over “death panels” is not quite my idea of civilized  exchanges of opinion and ideas.  This country is bankrupt.  Financially and morally.  The Objectivists dragged that unsound “ism” right straight to Wall Street and suddenly Wall Street has a “road closed” sign.  Too many laws were broken and hidden and no one gave out tickets until it was far too late.

Health care reform?  Oh no you can’t.  A suddenly vociferous section of the population doesn’t care if 47 million of their fellow citizens stay healthy or die.  They are bloodsucking leeches who want YOU to pay for their insurance.  Pay for it yourself – they say.  I would bet they would stop that screed in about two seconds if they lost theirs.  They fail to see that the 47 million paid for many things they didn’t like – war for example.  Gay people paid for things they weren’t even allowed to have.  Black people have been paying since the first boat hit Virginia.  Suddenly the sanctimonious right is on the warpath.  And they are working overtime to undermine and derail the current administration with lies and half truths and it’s time the rest of us spoke up and did something before they get another term in the White House.  If you think it can’t happen – Al Gore will tell you it does.

Let Barack Obama and his cabinet do their jobs– get out of your comfort zone and if you have to stoop to the GOP level – then get close to the ground and do it.  Their media personalities quit office, pop pills and sell snake oil.  One of our media spokesmen is a senator now.  A wise Latina sits on the bench with a busload of self-righteous hypocrites.  Buenvenidos Justice Sotomayor.  Their moguls steal bonuses from their stockholders.  Two of our CEO’s have won the Nobel Peace Prize.

I don’t have to walk you through this minefield.  Don’t get smug or complacent because we won the election.  The GOP is still snarling at the door of the Oval Office.
When you hear a rumor go to Factcheck.org or Snopes.  When something sounds made up – make sure it is or isn’t before you spread it and other people get sick.  There are Republicans who are decent and smart and responsible – but they are very, very well-mannered and subdued.  They are being drowned out by their wing nut political partners.  They need to be louder but we need to be louder still.

I love Michelle and Barack Obama.  I think their two daughters are wonderful and I am one of the happy people who voted all of them into the White House.  Sasha and Malia may be in a goldfish bowl – but the experience ahead of them is going to be so important not only for them but for so many little girls growing up worldwide that it thrills me to think about it. I am proud and happy to be an American in an Obama America. Our president, who has a plateful of nasty leftovers to digest is a good man for this country.  He and his wife have a relationship that is both honest and inspirational and should make us all proud.  Having said all this – I don’t think Michelle is a style icon.

Michelle Obama – tall and athletic and frankly quite lovely to see, needs to get a good stylist to tweak her wardrobe so that nothing but oohs and ahhs will be heard when she appears.  So far it’s not quite right.  The G-20 trip had some serious faux pas and I am not sure why.  I should say too, that Mrs. Obama brings Princess Diana to mind.  And we all watched Diana go through similar missteps as her elegant and breathtaking style finally evolved – too short a time to mature into mid-life – but it did finally let out its own breath.   Michelle – starting out a good deal older – should be allowed the same space, yet her time is limited by the immediacy of her position and term limits.  I have loved some of her choices but she is clearly not a woman who looks good in anything too frilly or sparkly.  Fussy prints do nothing to show us her sleek figure and fabulous energy.  Jewel tones age her.  As an African American woman she can carry off bolder patterns and bright colors – but the bright colors should not be confused with the Lane Bryant version of jewel tones –  those that are frankly designed to busy the eye and move it from a tummy or hip or portentous bosom.  Michelle doesn’t need the eye to move anywhere but up and down in admiration.  She is quite frankly “built” and she has the shape of a beautiful woman of color – curvy and luscious and refreshing.  I think J. Crew and its sister looks are good ones for her.  Black dresses, basic shapes and preppy looks befitting an Ivy league woman.  I love her shoes in particular – but she needs someone like Ralph Lauren or Calvin Klein to kit her out for big events.  For daytimes she cries out for cleaner lines, solid colors and lots of warming corals, yellows, good reds and white.  Lots of white.  Sparkles and spangles belong around her neck and on her ears.  Some of her clothes are frankly cheesy looking.  Young designers included.  Her tall figure is the kind that designers crave and the ones she loves should exalt that height to her advantage.  In my opinion there is not much one can wear to meet the Queen that is okay.  HRM dresses her age and her bra size and I saw nothing wrong with Michelle’s black and white outfit.  I loved the black coat and the chartreuse ensemble she wore was  gorgeous.  Argyle though, belongs with pleated skirts.  That dippy little fuchsia flowered suit was just that – dippy.  But to be fair I didn’t love Carla Bruni’s get up either.  Our First Lady is clearly a woman with her own idea of what she likes to wear – but  since she is dressing for the world, her clothes fall under scrutiny and she could use some help.  I suspect she will get it sooner than later and I suspect when she does  we will all be trying for the Michelle look.

This world, today, is a terrifying spot to be in,   I have created a non-sectarian, plea to whomever you wish to ask for aid and succor.  Please feel free to share it.

“Dear Person of Power in the Spiritual Plane:
Please keep me from ever being in a financial position or a tax bracket that makes voting for a Republican ever seem like the right thing to do.  Keep me solvent but liquid, keep me concerned for my fellow man and not my Board of Directors and please, whatever you do, bring Barack Obama to the White House.  And when you have done that please pick a house and send John McCain to it and throw away the key.  Strap Sally Six-Pack in a dog sled and mush her back to Juneau and deliver us from having this sort of crap exist.
Forever.
Amen”

Sally Six-Pack has maneuvered herself between a rock and a hard place on
a melting ice floe.  Look at the multi-tasking list she has made for herself in this election:

Governor of the Great State of Alaska
Former Mayor of Metropolitan Wasilla
Former Beauty Queen
Soccer Mom
Hockey Mom
Mom of a Special Needs Child
Mom of a Pregnant Teenage Daughter
Mom of a Soldier
Committed Christian (not sure what that means but she is one)
Gun lover
VP candidate
Supporter of Secession for the Great State of Alaska
Show runner for McCain Campaign
Mrs. Malaprop.
Hottie
Hate Mongerer
Name caller
Faithful wife of First Dude (really?)
Cronyist
And, as of yesterday – an abuser of Political Power.

And if that’s not enough, last week, Sarah Palin made the cover of Newsweek this week and already folks are crying foul.  Damn – I know plenty of people out here in TV land that would run a Hummer over a baby just to make the cover of Newsweek.  What the hell is up with people – it’s a great close up shot – she looks age appropriate – in fact better, especially after five kids and all that sun damage out shooting caribou in the Great State of Alaska.  So what’s the problem.  Eeee-oooo – we can see a crow’s foot.  Someone forgot to Photo shop her into a glamour kitten. Well, here the rub: Sal cannot have it both ways.  Either she is a soccer mom married to Joe Six-pack – with a face untouched by Botox or she is a beauty queen who can’t actually wear heels and gloves at the same time.  And it’s not even BOTH ways – She wants it every way.  Check out her list above. Sarah’s acolytes expect her to be all those things and more and Sarah just eggs them on.  (Oh and plus a politician and one with a brain too.).   Well – in that case – you really cannot have it every which  way you choose.   The mere fact that Snarky Sally Six-pack  got  the cover of Newsweek should make her family and all her misguided followers thrilled.  If we are lucky – after Nov 5, we will not see her again for many a moon.

New accusations by the Washington Post of her hate speech and slur mongering fuel the fire too. The cover of Newsweek is the least of her worries and ours.  Sally Six-pack should have a sock stuffed in her mouth until the election is over and her presumptive running mate should keep running his and alienate even his closest friends on “both sides of the aisle.”  One sings, the other doesn’t.

Another day of the Palin political saga.

FYI – Chris Kelly in the Huffington Post has nailed the Palin Baby mama Drama on the nose.  I suggest you read it.  I am trying to post it here but not having any luck so far.

Here is a whole new scenario for the Baby Mama situation.  Has anyone looked at young, sweet Willow?  She’s old enough and a pregnancy in a younger teen is one that would certainly be plausible unless there is convincing evidence to refute the suggestion.  And it would be one you would want to hide at all costs.  Girls her age rarely marry the baby daddy (maybe they do in the Far North) but Bristol and Sarah may be Red Herrings.  It will take deeper digging but I am sure that some clever person – possibly myself even – will find Trig’s birth records and the doctor who delivered him.   It might be fascinating to find out exactly whose amniotic fluid was tested for Trisomy 21. Who are Bristol and Willow’s and Trig’s pediatrician and who is the girl’s obstetrician?  And I do allow for the fact even those record may be fixed or shredded.  Until then – Sarah Palin does not strike me as very open, honest, forthcoming or exemplary as a parent, governor or VP candidate.  And Levi Johnston sounds like a garbage mouth moron. (Check out his MySpace profile if it’s still up).   He should be a clever and quality addition to the Palin clan.
Please go here
MySpace.com – Levi – 18 – Male – Wasilla, Alaska – www.myspace.com/levijohnsonpalin
Do we know why Levi is levijohnstonpalin.  Does Sarah know Levi’s hero is Barack Obama?  Perhaps it’s time for The Secret Sarah Palin Chronicles?

Has anyone read The Beans of Egypt Maine?  Read it.  There is more truth than poetry in that book than I ever imagined.

To be continued.
