گل صداقت و راستگویی
دویست و پنجاه سال پیش از میلاد در چین باستان شاهزاده ای تصمیم به ازدواج گرفت. با مرد خردمندی مشورت کرد و تصمیم گرفت تمام دختران جوان منطقه را دعوت کند تا دختری سزاوار را انتخاب کند.
وقتی خدمتکار پیر قصر ماجرا را شنید بشدت غمگین شد، چون دختر او بطور مخفیانه عاشق شاهزاده بود.
دخترش گفت او هم به آن مهمانی خواهد رفت.
مادر گفت : تو شانسی نداری، نه ثروتمندی و نه خیلی زیبا.
دختر جواب داد : می دانم هرگز مرا انتخاب نمی کند. اما فرصتی است که دست کم یک بار او را از نزدیک ببینم.
روز موعود فرا رسید و شاهزاده به دختران گفت : به هر یک از شما دانه ای میدهم.
هر کسی که بتواند در عرض شش ماه، زیباترین گل را برای من بیاورد، ملکه آینده چین می شود.
دختر پیرزن هم دانه را گرفت و در گلدانی کاشت.
سه ماه گذشت و هیچ گلی سبز نشد، دختر با باغبانان بسیاری صحبت کرد و راه گلکاری را به او آموختند، اما بی نتیجه بود، و گلی نروئید.
بالاخره روز ملاقات فرا رسید.
دختر با گلدان خالی اش منتظر ماند و دیگر دختران هم هر کدام گل بسیار زیبائی به رنگها و شکلهای مختلف در گلدان های خود داشتند.
لحظه موعود فرا رسید.
شاهزاده هر کدام از گلدان ها را با دقت بررسی کرد و در پایان اعلام کرد دختر خدمتکار همسر آینده او خواهد بود.
همه اعتراض کردند که شاهزاده کسی را انتخاب کرده که در گلدانش هیچ گلی سبز نشده است.
شاهزاده توضیح داد : این دختر تنها کسی است که گلی را به ثمر رسانده، که او را سزاوار همسری امپراطور می کند : گل صداقت …
همه دانه هایی که به شما دادم عقیم بودند و امکان نداشت گلی از آنها سبز شود !!!
